After three great years in New York City I've found myself back in my "hometown" of Fairfield County. Twenty something, newly wed and living in the 'burbs - what's a girl to do? Here's what I've found! *Updated* Thirty something, a little less newly wed, and first time homeowner of a little fixer upper...follow along on a slightly new journey but still with all the love for Fairfield County!
My fellow Colgate alumnus will be most excited to hear we now have our very own Dinosaur Bar-B-Que here in CT! The distinguished caterer of my college graduation party, Dinosaur BBQ holds a special place in your heart if you've ever done a stint in upstate New York. Perfect for a big crowd of holiday visitors, be sure to make a reservation! Also any grill master would be happy to find a stocking full of their delicious BBQ sauce or a gift card for Dino Dinero!
We can't wait to checkout newly opened SoNo Marketplace at 314 Wilson Ave in Norwalk. Home to over 45 food vendors, eateries and artisans we know this will be a great place to pick up tasty treats to serve over the holidays and also to take refuge for a delicious lunch or coffee (who are we kidding - glass of wine!).
We are excited that Paul Tudor Jones is sharing his light show with the community again this year! Be sure to take a swing through Belle Haven to check it out. Located near the Belle Haven Club, you can ask the gate house for directions. Show starts at dusk and runs til about 9pm however if the line is long they will begin turning cars away around 8.
Stop by The Homestead afterward for a celebratory cocktail - tis the holiday season!
